Engaging the services of a Certified Legal Document Preparer is very often faster and less expensive than using an attorney.
Attorneys are usually more expensive because law firms hire paralegals, assistants and secretaries to operate efficiently, which creates a lot of expensive overhead. Attorneys also tend to get busy with more serious or more lucrative matters, leaving jobs like document preparation at the bottom of their list.
However, if you need legal advice or seek an opinion on how to address a specific legal matter, consulting with an attorney may be the best first step.
